Snapdragon 888 Is The Fastest Chipset, This Is The Benchmark Result

Qualcomm recently demonstrated the performance of the Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform through a series of synthetic benchmark tests.

It only means measuring some aspects of usage and not capturing other broad experiences, such as connectivity, photography, videography, audio, battery life and charging speed, etc.

Each benchmark was run on the Snapdragon 888 reference design and the score was an average of the three trials. All benchmark measurements are run using the default rules in the Snapdragon 888 reference design, which are recommended to strike a balance between performance and power consumption for users' everyday use.

Here are the results:

To note, Snapdragon 888 brings a significant architectural improvement. The Mobile Platform is designed using the most advanced 5nm process technology, enabling the latest in performance with superior power efficiency.

The Qualcomm Kryo 680 CPU delivers a performance increase of up to 25% on the overall CPU, compared to the previous generation and enables the highest frequency up to 2.84GHz. The Qualcomm AdrenoTM GPU achieves a performance boost, bringing graphics rendering up to 35%, faster than the previous generation.

Responding to OEM input, the Adreno 660 GPU is specifically designed to provide flexible and more powerful power for a gaming phone with more advanced heat regulating capabilities or a larger thermal envelope for other sustainable use on flagship devices. Each OEM can select the optimal operating aspect for their device design.

The sixth generation Qualcomm AI Engine embedded completely redesigned with the latest Qualcomm Hexagon 780 processor can deliver up to 26 TOPS, a 73% increase over the previous generation resulting in industry-leading AI performance, which also increases power efficiency up to three times stronger than the previous generation.
